The first day back in the studio.... Always exciting and after few hours it also feels 'right' again. The first sketches look always so helpless, like I have never drawn or painted before !

I am having a little bit of a break as my internet connection was veeeeeeeeeeery very slow for a couple of days and also the school holidays are on... So at the moment there is more painting happening inside my head ! Thinking about the red riding hood story . In this painting she seems to be in control ,  she is in touch with the wolf ( he is not very scary I have to admit :).... 

 I think the next one will be more fighting between them. 

At the end though , they will be friends ...

I didn't get to paint anything bigger today, just my morning sketch , my 'artist book'  and a new series of postcard sizes, that I will put at the end together. More abstract is here the idea.... This is quite an exercise for me, at the end I always put form in it... even I might start  abstract ! And the paintings I really love , are strangely the real abstract ones :) Maybe because it is something I find so hard to do ...
